Peru is known worldwide for its great biodiversity and variety of ecosystems, which is why there are a large number of protected natural areas in order to safeguard numerous species, many of which are in danger of extinction, either due to natural effects. , or the action of man. One of these cases is that of the Pantanos de Villa, located in the Lima region in the Chorrillos district. This is a wildlife refuge, that is, an area in charge of the protection of various specific species, which are in danger of extinction. As for example the gramadal and the totoral within the flora, and the Peruvian potoyunco, Peruvian pelican, and the guanay within the fauna. But unfortunately, a problem has arisen for many years, which puts this great ecosystem at risk, this could cause the migration of these species, or their own extinction: Pollution. This is why I affirm that it is important to take measures to solve this great problem, and in this way preserve the area.
